A Message from the Chairman: Saturday's Convention
I just wanted to take a minute to remind everyone that the Franklin County Republican Party Annual Convention will be held this Saturday, March 10th at the Hobgood Courthouse Annex, 111 S. Main Street, Louisburg. Registration begins at 12:30 PM, Precinct Meeting begin at 1:15 PM and the Convention will begin at 2:30 PM. I would like to see every precinct represented, so please make every effort to attend.
We are very pleased to have Dallas Woodhouse, NCGOP Executive Director, as our keynote speaker. Dallas is a straight-from-the-shoulder guy that understands the Democrat threat in North Carolina. I am sure you will find him interesting and inspiring.
As is our custom, we have invited all Republican candidates on the Franklin County ballot to attend the convention and have allocated 10 minutes each to speak. As of this writing the following are scheduled:
Jerry Jones, candidate for Sherriff
Judge Andrew Heath, Candidate for the NC Court of Appeals
County Commissioner Harry Foy, candidate for re-election
Allen Chesser, candidate for Congress District 2
Lisa Barnes, candidate for NC House District 7
I am sure we will be adding others to the list as the week progresses. Please remember that there will not be time for a question and answer period during the convention.
Effective and successful political action begins at the Precinct level, please plan on attending your Precinct meeting and help us to make Franklin a RED COUNTY and to keep NC a RED STATE!
There are 43,294 registered voters in Franklin County as of January 31, 2018, only 13,084 are Registered Republicans....that is only 30.2%! Democrats out-number us at 18,652 or 43%.....that is rapidly changing as many people are seeing the light and leaving the Democrat Party. 11,558 voters are listed as Unaffiliated (includes Libertarians, etc.)....that is 26.7% of the voter base! It is the job of every Republican to spread the word, talk to your friends, relatives and neighbors that are unaffiliated and bring them over to the Republican side!
See you at the Convention!
Note: There is a $10 delegate fee of which a portion of it is paid to the North Carolina Republican Party.
