Stires Signs Taxpayer Protection Pledge

Youngsville's Chuck Stires, the Republican candidate for state Senate District 7, signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge April 13 for Americans for Prosperity. If elected, Stires pledges to oppose and not vote for any and all tax increases in the 2007 Legislative session. Democratic Socialists of America and Progressive Caucus member Sen. Doug Berger has not signed the pledge. That should be no surprise since Berger has voted for massive tax increases.
