Berger legislation not good for schools

Dear Editor:

I am a Democrat and am ashamed that Sen. Doug Berger represents my party. Why would Berger sponsor legislation that allows convicts to teach in our children’s classrooms?

The Democratic Party has always been the party for education, but lately I am beginning to wonder if Doug Berger is making it the party for convict teachers to prey on our innocent school children.

(I do want to thank Superintendent Dr. Bert L’Homme for looking out for our children by telling Berger no on allowing criminal teachers in the classrooms.)
