RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF REPEAL OF GAS TAX

WHEREAS, gasoline taxes are at the highest rates recorded in history of the United States

AND WHEREAS, North Carolina has one of the highest gas taxes in the United States;

AND WHEREAS, the Democrat legislature of North Carolina has seen fit to add additional gasoline taxes to the already overburdened taxpayers of North Carolina;

AND WHEREAS, the working people of North Carolina and the taxpayers are most affected by the continuance of this high and overburdening tax;

AND WHEREAS, the Franklin County Republican Party believes that it is in the best interest of the people of North Carolina to repeal the additional gas taxes imposed by the legislature;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Franklin County Republican Party supports the repeal of the additional gas taxes in North Carolina.
