Resolution Honoring Robert Rector


WHEREAS, Robert Rector was active in the state GOP for 30 years, and

WHEREAS, Robert Rector was a longtime Republican activist who

presided over North Carolina's 2004 Electoral College, and

WHEREAS, Robert Rector was chairman of the Franklin County Republican

Party from 1987 until 1997, and

WHEREAS, Robert Rector created the N.C. County Chairman's Association

and traveled across the state training activists and candidates, and

WHEREAS, Robert Rector was inducted into the N.C. Republican Party's

Hall of Fame and later received the prestigious James E. Broyhill award

in 2007, and

WHEREAS, Robert Rector will always be remembered for his mentorship

of young Republicans; now, therefore,

SO BE IT RESOLVED, that we the people of the Franklin County Republican

Party of North Carolina, adopt this resolution to remember and

honor Robert Rector.
